Our most valuable assets are our employees and their families. Without them Foley Company would not exist. Our focus will always be on the safety and well-being of our employees and their families, not only at work, but at home and in their everyday lives.
Safety works. All of our employees share a personal commitment to control and eliminate hazards in the construction workplace. To date, we have over 100 employees that are OSHA Construction Safety trained, 10 and 30 Hour. Standard operating procedures, written programs, inspections, and a comprehensive accident prevention manual all blend together to make Foley a safe and effective contractor.
Foley Company strives for continuous safety improvement. New training initiatives have been instituted, including behavior-based Human Performance Improvement (HPI) Tools. Safety Committee is being re-activated; a quarterly safety newsletter has been established; and, more stringent subcontractor oversight has been put in place. Safety culture throughout the company has been strengthened and elevated. Safety continues to be a primary corporate performance goal.
Support staff includes Board Certified Safety Professionals (CSPs) and OSHA Certified Outreach Trainers. Foley Company is aligned with an OSHA Region VII Partnership that includes The Builders’ Association and other select area contractors. Foley Company has a long-standing relationship with the Mechanical Contractors Association of Greater Kansas City which consistently recognizes it through awards for safe and quality work.
Our 2016 Experience Modifier Rating (EMR) is 0.70. Total Recordable Injury and DART rates are well below BLS industry averages.
